DCM van knocks down woman, son
In a fatal mishap, a 34-year-old woman and her son died on the spot while her daughter received injuries when a DCM van knocked down their scooter which she was riding in Chandanagar area on Friday evening. According to police, Manjula, a teacher of Cute Island International School in Madinaguda, was returning home with her two children – Arnar, 7, and Akshara, 4 when this incident occurred.

According to police, Manjula, a teacher of Cute Island International School in Madinaguda, was returning home with her two children – Arnar, 7, and Akshara, 4 when this incident occurred.
“When they reached RS Brothers crossroads around 4.30 pm, the speeding DCM van (AP 24Y 4589) knocked down the scooter from behind. Due to the impact, all three fell on the road. Death was instant for Manjula and Arnar while Akshara sustained severe head injuries. Local residents rushed her to a nearby private hospital,” Chandanagar inspector N Vasu said.
