Juvenile death: Two held
The Saidabad police on Tuesday arrested two boys in connection with the murder of an 11-year-old boy at Government Juvenile Home in Saidabad area. Asif was found dead on January 21. The cops were earlier probing if he had been sodomised before the murder.
Hyderabad: The Saidabad police on Tuesday arrested two boys in connection with the murder of an 11-year-old boy at Government Juvenile Home in Saidabad area. Asif was found dead on January 21. The cops were earlier probing if he had been sodomised before the murder. The two boys, aged 16 and 13, who were apprehended on Tuesday were inmates of the same rescue home, police said, adding that they were detained after the autopsy report.
Forensic doctors, who performed the autopsy, are understood to have told the investigators that the boy was strangulated to death. According to the report, that the boy had been throttled to death, inspector A Srinivasulu said the 16-year-old boy was accused of having sodomised the victim and later killed him with the help of the other boy after the victim said that he would report the incident.
Both the juveniles were produced before the Juvenile Justice Court and sent to an observation home, he added. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 302 (Murder), 377 (Unnatural offences) of the IPC as well as under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
