Engineering student dies, 3 hurt as car turns turtle
A 21-year-old engineering student died, while three of his friends were critically injured after a speeding car in which they were travelling lost control and turned turtle in Kompally area on Sunday.
Hyderabad: A 21-year-old engineering student died, while three of his friends were critically injured after a speeding car in which they were travelling lost control and turned turtle in Kompally area on Sunday.
According to Petbasheerabad police, the accident took place near Kompally at around 3.40 pm on Sunday .
"The deceased, L Anil, a student of Siddhartha Engineering College, along with his friends were coming from Medicherla to Hyderabad. He was driving the car. When they reached Kompally crossroad, the steering got locked and he could not control the vehicle. The car took several turns and finally turned turtle. Anil died on spot," sub-inspector J Ashok said.
The injured who were identified as Saikumar, 21, and Suman, 19, both students of St Mary’s Engineering College, and Rishab, 20, a student of Mallareddy Engineering College rushed to nearby Balaji Hospital. They are under critical observation at the hospital, the attending doctors said.
