Hyderabad: Eight persons who were involved in cricket betting racked, got trapped in police raid at a city hotel in Yakutpura area on Sunday.
Police seized several lakh of rupees, mobile phones among other things from their possession.
Police found that the accused were accepting bets from punters on the ‘World Cup Cricket Match 2015’ on Sunday when the special police team raided the hotel in Yakutpura.
Police suspect that bookies organised betting from Hyderabad and other places through their wide network of agents by involving punters in the district.
