While Ruheena’s in-laws and husband say it is the handiwork of miscreants, her parents alleged that she was tortured and murdered by her husband, Md Moinuddin, over additional dowry. The body was noticed by the stationmaster on Tuesday afternoon, who informed the railway police.
According to Kachiguda police, the body was found to be bearing strangle marks based on which a case under Section 302 (Murder) of the IPC was registered. Meanwhile, police claimed that the husband gave contradictory statements in connection with the murder case.
“He informed us about the murder and after that he went absconding and this gave way to further suspicions,” the police said, adding that along with the murder case, Section 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence or giving false information to screen offender) has also been registered.
