20 kg ganja seized; four women held

Adilabad: Police seized 20 kg ganja from four women at Nirmal bus stand on Friday. Nirmal DSP Manohar Reddy said Rathod Ranjana, Chauhan Sahinda, Rathod Vanamala and Rathod Manjana, who hailed from Yavatmal district in Maharashtra, had purchased 20 kg of ganja from Kalwa Tanda in Dilawarpur mandal in the district.

The DSP said the police personnel came across four bags containing ganja in an Ichoda-bound bus while conducting checks at Nirmal bus stand. The women tried to flee by alighting from the bus, but they were chased and caught. Manohar Reddy said three persons of Kalwa Thanda, who sold ganja to women, were at large.
