The management and devotees of the famed Saibaba temple in Dilsukhnagar were forced to press the panic button due to a bomb scare.

An unidentified caller informed Saroornagar police station on Monday that a bomb was planted on the premises of the temple. Reacting immediately, the bomb squads along with sniffer dogs reached the place and evacuated the devotees to take up intensive searches. On finding nothing after the search, it was determined to be a hoax call.

Earlier, the landmark Dilsukhnagar Saibaba temple had been a target of the terrorists at least three times. A cycle bomb was placed near the temple, injuring a few persons in 2002 while a bomb was planted near the temple in 2007 but before it exploded, the police managed to diffuse the bomb successfully.

However, two more bombs stationed at Gokul Chat Bandar and Lumbini Park exploded killing many. Two bombs exploded to the temple in 2013.
