Hyderabad: A 29-year-old woman, who works at a beauty parlour, was allegedly gang-raped by two auto drivers near Chintal area under Jeedimetla police station limits, police said on Wednesday. According to Jeedimetla police, the woman boarded an auto-rickshaw on Tuesday evening from Quthbullapur towards Chintal when the duo, identified as Naresh 33 and Suresh, 30, both residents of Quthbullapur, threatened her on the way and took her to an isolated place near HMT grounds in Jeedimetla area where they allegedly outraged her modesty, ACP (Balanagar) N Narsimha Reddy said, adding that the accused was nabbed and a case was registered against him under relevant sections of IPC.
In a similar incident, a mason, who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman repeatedly by threatening to make public the videos he filmed while raping her, was arrested by the Jawaharnagar police on Wednesday. The accused S Mallesh, a resident of BJR Nagar, used to hire labourers to work at different construction sites in the city. “The 32-year-old victim approached him for work.
He sexually assaulted her the first time in October last and filmed the rape scene, and after that he repeatedly raped her on different occasions by threatening to make the video public,” inspector P Venkatagiri said. “The hapless victim finally revealed to her husband the trauma she was undergoing. We picked up Mallesh who admitted to his offence,” the inspector added.
