4 Bangladeshis held for running brothel

Hyderabad: The Task Force (East) police on Thursday claimed to have busted a sex racket at two brothel houses and arrested four Bangladeshis apart from rescuing seven sex workers. The organisers Abdul Bariq Shaikh, 38, Anjumara alias Poonam Abdul Shaik, 25, Burahan, 60, and Janilabdin, 28, all native of Bangladesh, who had been running the racket for the last few months, were arrested.

Acting on a tip-off, officials of the Task Force raided the two flats in Amberpet and Nallakunta areas and nabbed the organisers, a customer and rescued seven female sex workers. “Abdul, the main organizer, is running the two brothel houses with the help of his wife Anjumara. He procures the sex workers from Bangladesh with the help of Burahan by paying him anywhere between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000. He also appointed two assistants - Mafijur Biswas and Janilabdin for escorting the customers,” Additional DCP N Koti Reddy said.
