SPM contract worker attempts suicide

A contract worker, V Sudhakar, of Sirpur Paper Mills (SPM), attempted to commit suicide by dousing himself in kerosene and setting himself on fire at his house at Balaji Nagar here on Wednesday.
Kagaznagar (Adilabad): A contract worker, V Sudhakar, of Sirpur Paper Mills (SPM), attempted to commit suicide by dousing himself in kerosene and setting himself on fire at his house at Balaji Nagar here on Wednesday. He was shifted to the local ESI hospital as he suffered serious burns. Doctors said his condition was serious. SPM workers came in large numbers and visited him at the hospital. Sudhakar was depressed as he was jobless from the time SPM was closed six months ago. Moreover, Sudhakar borrowed money and performed his daughter’s marriage two months ago.
