Hyderabad: The Task Force (Central) police on Thursday arrested a 30-year-old domestic help and her husband on the charges of house theft at her employer's residence on February 1. Police recovered three gold necklaces, four pairs of gold earrings, a gold chain, three gold rings and two gold bangles, all worth Rs 4.8 lakh from their possession.

Rasheeda Begum, a resident of Krishnanagar Colony, Musheerabad was employed at the house of MA Nayeem. Based on Nayeem’s complaint on February 1, Musheerabad police registered a case under Section 454/380 of the IPC and took up investigation. During investigation, police detained and interrogated Rasheeda. “She confessed that on February 1 she committed the offence with the help of her husband, Syed Chand, 34 and concealed the valuables at their permanent house at Kishanbagh in Bahadurpura,” DCP (Central) VB Kamalasan Reddy said.
