266 cases booked for traffic violations

Cyberabad police booked as many as 266 cases against violators of motor vehicle rules during a special intensive drive conducted on Outer Ring Road (ORR). As a part of the drive conducted from March 7 to March 13, four patrolling vehicles have been pressed into service from Peddamberpet to Shamirpet through Shamshabad.
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police booked as many as 266 cases against violators of motor vehicle rules during a special intensive drive conducted on Outer Ring Road (ORR). As a part of the drive conducted from March 7 to March 13, four patrolling vehicles have been pressed into service from Peddamberpet to Shamirpet through Shamshabad.
A total of 266 cases were booked. Out of these, 78 were for wrong parking and 188 for driving on wrong side. So far, police have booked 2,643 cases till March 13 and the authorities collected penalties to the tune of Rs 2, 19, 300, a release said. Police requested public to adhere to rules made for ORR and call on 040-23002424/8500411111 (Cyberabad Traffic Police Control Room) in case of any emergency.
