The arrested gang members have been identified as Bhagwale Raj Kumar, 24, of Chatrinka and Taqi Ali alias Chotu, 24, of Mirchowk.

Hyderabad: The Chikkadpally Crime team busted a house-breaking gang and arrested two persons on Thursday. They seized about 25 tolas of gold ornaments and electronic gadgets, all worth Rs 7 lakh from their possession. The arrested gang members have been identified as Bhagwale Raj Kumar, 24, of Chatrinka and Taqi Ali alias Chotu, 24, of Mirchowk. They were reported to have been involved in grave offences.

On a tip-off, police under the supervision of Additional DCP (Central) M Ram Mohan Rao laid a trap and nabbed the duo on Thursday. During the course of interrogation, they confessed to have committed offences under different police station limits and involved in at least 30 snatching cases and 10 burglaries.

“They were moving suspiciously and on inquiry they did not disclose the particulars of the stolen property, so they were brought to police station. Upon interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in the house burglaries,” the cops said, adding that the gang leader Rajesh served jail terms in 2006 and also a murder case was registered against him in Moghulpura police station. The accused persons were produced before the court for judicial remand.
