Minor raped in Mahabubnagar dist

Hyderabad (PTI): A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth in Mahabubnagar district after luring her with a chocolate, police said on Thursday.The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in Kolhapur village when the minor girl was playing near her grandmother's house.

Basheer, a car-driver, offered her a chocolate and took her to an isolated place and allegedly raped her, Kolhapur Police Station Sub-Inspector Manojkumar said following a complaint lodged by the victim's parents. The police registered a case under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act. They have launched a hunt to nab the accused.
