Two held for smuggling of liquor

Karimnagar: Two persons were arrested here on Thursday for transporting liquor illegally in a bus from Maharashtra. Acting on a tip-off that some persons were illegally transporting liquor in vehicles, the Excise officials took up inspection of vehicles at Gandihanuman village in Ibrahimpatnam mandal and caught two persons who were transporting costly liquor bottles from Maharashtra. Excise Circle Inspector Chandra Shekar said, “Srinivas and Danaiah, both belonging to Dharmapuri mandal, were bringing liquor bottles illegally from Maharashtra and selling them in Dharmapuri mandal.
