More crimes by dead duo come to light.The two militants who were killed in Nalgonda encounter belonged to the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), said DGP Anurag Sharma on Sunday.Both were natives of Madhya Pradesh.
Hyderabad: The two militants who were killed in Nalgonda encounter belonged to the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), said DGP Anurag Sharma on Sunday.Both were natives of Madhya Pradesh. While Md. Aijajuddeen was a native of Kareli of Narsinghpur district, Md Aslam alias Bilal hailed from Ganesh Talai of Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh. They been the active members of SIMI, Madhya Pradesh unit, and were involved in acts of terror in India. On the intervening night of April 1 and 2, while the police were conducting checks on the suspicious passengers at Suryapet Hi-Tech Bus stop, Nalgonda district, suddenly these two assailants, viz., Md. Aijajuddeen and Md. Aslam, who were travelling from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, opened fire on police personnel. They killed one constable and a Home Guard and injured one Circle Inspector and another Home Guard. They also tried to stop a car at gunpoint and injured one civilian when the driver did not stop.
- The two SIMI activists were involved in several bank robberies, conspiracy to kill jailor Sanjay Pandey of Satna jail in MP, murder of constable Sitaram Yadav of Khandwa, MP, firing on Bherulaal Tak a judge of a local court in Nagda, Ujjain, MP, among others.
- They are suspects in blast in Bangalore-Guwahati Express at Chennai Railway station in May 2014 in which an AP girl died, Haryana, dacoity at Mini Muthoot group, Ramachandrapuram, Medak district, (around 3.2 kg worth gold and 22.5 lakh cash was stolen) and other crimes.
According to Telangana police, the duo was involved in several cases in the past including firing on Premed Tiwari, BJP leader of Khandwa, MP (January 2009 by Abu Faisal, Amjad & Mehboob), robbing Rs. 60,000from a businessman at Emlipura, Khandwa, MP (February 2009 by Aslam, Mehboob, Amjad & Abu Faisal); dacoity in Narmada Gramina Bank, Dewas, MP (Rs. 1.25 lakh) (September 2009 by Abu Faisal, Amjad, Zakir, Mehboob and Aslam); dacoity in Bank of India, Vijay Mundi Diwas, MP (Rs. 9.50 lakhs) (October 2009 by Abu Faisal, Aslam, Mehboob, Zakir and lqrar Shaik); conspiracy to eliminate jailor Sanjay Pandey, Satna jail, MP (October 2009); murder of constable Sitaram Yadav of Khandwa, MP (November 2009, Abu Faisal, Ayaz, Aslam); Canara Bank dacoity, ltarsi, MP (Rs.70-80000) (March 2010 by Abu Faisal, Aslam, lkrar Shaik and Aijajuddin); Punjab National Bank dacoity, Ratlam district, MP (Rs. 1 lakh) (April 2010 by Abu Faisal, Aslam, lkrar Shaik, Zakir, Aijaj and Mujeeb); State Bank of India dacoity, Indore (Rs. 1 lakh) (May 2010 by Abu Faisal, Aijaj, Aslam Zakir, Mujeeb and lkrar Shaik); Manappuram Gold Finance Limited dacoity, Bhopal Talkies, MP (10 kg gold) (September 2010 by Abu Faisal, Aijaj, lkrar Shaik, Mujeeb, Zakir & Aslam) and firing on Bherulaal Tak (judge of a local court) Nagda, Ujjain, MP (May 2010 by Abu Faisal, Sharafath and Farhath).
The two fugitive SIMI cadre were also suspected to be involved in the other cases including robbery of Rs. 1.25 lakhs from Jharsiguda Gramina bank on December 13, 2013, in Odisha, robbery of Rs 46 lakh in SBI Choppadandi SBI branch in Karimnagar district on February 1, 2014, blast in Bangalore-Guwahati Express at Chennai Railway station in May 2014); Bomb blast in front of Faraskhana Police Station near Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati temple, Pune (July 2014); recovery of unexploded bomb lED in train at Rewari, Haryana (September 2014); Bijnor (UP) blast (October 2014); dacoity at Mini Muthoot group, Ramachandrapuram, Medak district, ( around 3.2 kg worth gold and 22.5 lakh cash); dacoity in Dhanbad-Alleppey Express near Kasinga Railway Station of Odisa (February 14-15 night, 2015) and robbery in HDFC Bank, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on February 27, 2015.
