Guwahati: Poachers killed another one horned rhinoceros in Assam's Kaziranga National Park on Friday and shopped off its horn, officials said.
Forest guards found a body of bullet injuries dehorned female rhino near Bherbheri forest camp under Kohora range office inside the National Park on Friday morning.
"Poachers killed the rhino and manged to flee with its horn, " a park official said.
Poachers killed ten rhinos in the state including nine in Kaziranga in this year so far.
Meanwhile, Assam forest minister Atuwa Munda had instructed to the forest officials to take stern action against poachers and protect the wild animals.
