Jaipur: A senior policeman of the Dewair Police Station in Rajsamand district was shot by alleged drug smugglers at a checkpost in the wee hours of today, police said.
Station House Officer at Dewair Ramesh Lal Kaviya went to intercept a suspected vehicle carrying narcotic drugs when he received a single bullet in his forehead.
He was then rushed to a private hospital in Udaipur, the police said.
