Lake Police saved a 35-year-old man who tried to commit suicide by jumping into Tank Bund on Wednesday. Satyanarayana, of Mir Alam Mandi, Pathergatti was seen moving suspiciously near Upper Tank Bund and suddenly tried to jump into the lake, the police said.

Police spotted him and rushed to his rescue. They caught hold of him and dragged him to safety. Later, he was handed over to Lake Police where he was counselled. “He appears to be mentally depressed and suffering from psychological disorder,” inspector Sreedevi said, adding that he was asked to contact Roshini Counselling Centre in Begumpet for counselling and medicines.
