Man commits suicide after murdering wife in Anantapur

In a shocking incident, a man killed his wife before committing suicide in Gudibanda mandal headquarters of Anantapur District.

Gudibanda Sub-Inspector Venugopal stated that the accused identified as Ranganath, an isolated person, worked as a sweeper at the local panchayat office and married Mamata ten months ago. The Police said that the accused slit his wife’s throat and committed suicide by hanging himself.

According to the neighbours, Ranganth’s wife had complained to her parents over doubts raised on her fidelity. Police said that the doubts might have led to the murder. A case has been registered by the police and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
