Youth arrested for raping minor girl

Etah: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth in Arab Garh village in the district here, following which the accused has been arrested, police said today.

According to an FIR lodged by the victim's brother, the youth, identified as Mukesh, raped the minor last evening while she was returning form the fields, they said.

Upon hearing her shrieks and cries, the villagers reached the spot and beat up the accused before handing him over to the police.

The girl has been sent for medical examination,

police said, adding, that investigation into the case is on.
