According to police, Reshma, 30, got divorced from her husband, Chand Pasha, 38, in 2013 after staying with him for three years. From the first marriage, she was blessed with a son, Aayan, 4.

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a woman reportedly inflicted burn injuries on her son with her alleged paramour’s help in Neredmet area on Tuesday. According to police, Reshma, 30, got divorced from her husband, Chand Pasha, 38, in 2013 after staying with him for three years. From the first marriage, she was blessed with a son, Aayan, 4.


After their divorce as per the Muslim Law, Reshma had a live-in relationship with her boyfriend, Mahesh, 31, a native of Warangal. Aayan used to stay with Chand Pasha’s parents in the same locality. According to police, Reshma and Mahesh were having affair even before former’s marriage in 2010.


Things did not work out between their families because of caste difference and she got married to Chand. The cops said that the woman along with paramour used to harass Aayan in order to extract money from Chand.On Monday, Reshma brought Aayan from his grandparents’ place and with the help of Mahesh inflicted burn injuries on the child’s back and private parts.


Hearing the screams of the child, neighbours barged into the house and rushed Aayan to Gandhi Hospital where he is reported to be undergoing treatment. A case has been booked against the accused under Section 384, 324 and 506 of the IPC. Meanwhile, Balala Hakkula Sangham has condemned the brutal act and demanded the police to register a case under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC.
