Hyderabad woman commits suicide, father blames in-laws

With the consent of parents, a couple in love got married two months ago. But the newly wedded bride in suspicious conditions committed suicide at her in-laws house.

According to the police, Lasyapriya (26) from Nizamabad District and Abhishek (27) from Kerala fell in love while pursuing MBA in the city. With the parents consent, both got married on February 27 and resided together in Panchasila Colony in Alwal. However, on Wednesday, Lasyapriya committed suicide by hanging herself and Abhishek’s parents informed Lasyapriya’s parents immediately.

Lasyapriya’s parents blamed the in-laws for their daughter’s death and filed a complaint at the Alwal Police Station. Lasyapriya’s father Venkateswara Rao stated that his daughter has the courage to convince her parents for the marriage and will not commit suicide. He further said that Abhishek’s parents were torturing her for dowry which is the reason behind her being murdered and now are portraying the murder as suicide.

The police have registered a case and investigation has begun.
