One crushed to death as water tanker turns turtle
In a freak mishap, a 29-year-old private employee standing on the road was crushed to death when a speeding water tanker lost control and turned turtle on Military Dairy Farm road on Thursday morning. The deceased who has been identified as G Kumar Goud, a resident of Indiramma Colony in Qutbullapur, was standing near MD Farm bus stop when the mishap occurred around 9.20 am.

According to police, the tragedy occurred when the tanker (AP 10 U 5225) which was on its way to Bowenpally lost control in the driver’s bid to overtake another vehicle and turned turtle and fell on Kumar. “Kumar was waiting for a bus and the tanker driver suddenly cut across the road taking Kumar by surprise.

Police have registered a case under Section 304 A of the IPC against the driver, Srinivas, and took him into custody, the sub-inspector added.
