Man, nephew drown in lake
A fun-filled day turned tragic in a family when a 35-year-old man along with his nephew drowned in the Katta Maisamma lake, under Dundigal police station limits, police said on Wednesday, who with the help of swimmers managed to fish out the bodies.

The deceased have been identified as K Srinivas and his nephew Arvind, 10, both residents of Shivalayam Nagar in Suraram area. They left for swimming on Tuesday and did not return till night. Family members desperately started searching for them, but failed. Later, they found clothes and shoes lying on the bank of the lake.
They immediately alerted the police who in turn visited the spot. “We suspect they might have entered into the water for swimming unaware of its depth and got drowned,” the cops said. A case under Section 174 (Suspicious death) of CrPC has been registered. Further probe is on.
