Hyderabad: A municipal commissioner and a senior assistant of Badangpet Nagara Panchayat of Ranga Reddy district were allegedly caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday while taking a bribe of Rs 72,000. T Saivenkata Naga Thrileswar Rao, municipal commissioner was caught by ACB officials while accepting bribe of Rs 72,000 through a senior assistant Ch Naresh from the complainant, Srinivas Reddy, a civil contractor, for processing the civil works bills worth Rs 24 lakh, an ACB release said on Wednesday. The bribe amount was recovered from the pant pocket of Naresh which he received from the complainant on the directions of municipal commissioner. His fingers tested positive in a chemical test.
