An Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) was caught red-handed by the sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday. M Shivakumar, a health officer, GHMC Circle VII, was nabbed by the police on Friday for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 7,500 at his office.
Hyderabad: An Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) was caught red-handed by the sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday. M Shivakumar, a health officer, GHMC Circle VII, was nabbed by the police on Friday for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 7,500 at his office. The officer demanded the money for favouring the complainant, a private contractor, for renewing his contract, according to sources. Shivakumar was tested positive during a chemical test and produced before ACB court.
