Mother, son commit suicide

A woman and her son reportedly committed suicide by consuming pesticides at Bivainagar in Sircilla town on Monday. According to police, Lingam (40) and his mother Laxmi (65) were found dead in their house on Monday morning by locals who informed the police.

Lingam, a liquor addict, used to pick up quarrels daily with his wife, Lavanya. She left home six months ago and has been living with her parents at Yerrapahad in Thadwai mandal of Nizamabad district. The exact reason behind their suicide is not yet known. Police shifted the bodies to Sircilla area hospital for post-mortem and registered a case and took up investigation.
