A man was beaten up and handed over to the police station late on Thursday night for allegedly trying to outrage the modesty of a girl. Sk Moula Ali, an employee of SBI General Insurance, was harassing the girl, 23, a native of Mizoram state, for the past few weeks.

According to police, the victim, a worker at a restaurant on Road No 1 left for her house in Nandi Nagar, Road No 12, Banjara Hills. “When she got down near Indo-Cancer Hospital around 10.30 pm, Moula Ali, who was waiting there tried to outrage her modesty.
The girl resisted his attempts and raised an alarm. Hearing her screams, passersby rushed to her rescue and beat him up before handing him over to police,” the cops said. Police arrested Moula Ali under Nirbhaya Act.
