Cop kills wife over complaint to bosses
A constable posted at Jubilee Hills police station, killed his own wife after she complained the issue of ‘domestic violence’ to the higher ups on Saturday. According to police, Narsi Reddy, who was residing in the Police Lines quarters at Yousufguda along with the wife, Vijaya Laxmi, 25 and children had regular altercations with his wife.
Hyderabad: A constable posted at Jubilee Hills police station, killed his own wife after she complained the issue of ‘domestic violence’ to the higher ups on Saturday. According to police, Narsi Reddy, who was residing in the Police Lines quarters at Yousufguda along with the wife, Vijaya Laxmi, 25 and children had regular altercations with his wife.
However, on Friday the issue had gone out of hand after Narsi Reddy caused grievous injuries on the woman’s body. Vexed up with the attitude of her husband, Vijaya Laxmi went to the police station, where Narsi Reddy was working and made a complaint to the higher-ups. The colleagues who came to know about the issue questioned Narsi Reddy.
The constable who felt embarrassed, rushed home and banged her head against the wall. Noticing this, neighbours immediately rushed her to a private hospital, where the doctors declared her brought dead. The constable was arrested by the same police station, where he was working.
