Three held for eve teasing
SHE Teams of Hyderabad police on Tuesday arrested three persons on charges of eve teasing and misbehaving with women in three different cases in the city. Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested Syed Zubeer, 24, and Md Sayeed, 26, both residents of Gangabowli, Amberpet, based on a written complaint made by their victims.
Hyderabad: SHE Teams of Hyderabad police on Tuesday arrested three persons on charges of eve teasing and misbehaving with women in three different cases in the city. Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested Syed Zubeer, 24, and Md Sayeed, 26, both residents of Gangabowli, Amberpet, based on a written complaint made by their victims.
In their complaint, they mentioned that Zubeer and Sayeed followed them while they were travelling in an auto-rickshaw from Himayathnagar to Punjagutta. The youths passed lewd comments and threatened with abusive language and gestures. Later, the victims lodged a complaint with the CCS team along with their bike number.
Based on their complaint, the sleuths tracked the vehicle and arrested the duo and produced before the court. In a similar incident, SHE Teams arrested a 43-year-old shopkeeper of Tappachabutra, Asif Ali Khan, for gesturing indecently at a woman waiting at Mehdipatnam bus stop.
Asif was staring at her and then asked the woman to sit on his bike. Entire episode was video recorded by the SHE Teams present there. He was arrested and produced before the court along with the evidence.
