One killed in road mishap
One killed in road mishap. A woman was crushed under the wheels of a speeding truck while the rider was seriously injured in a road accident near MESCO Junior College under Tappachabutra police limits on Sunday.

Hyderabad: A woman was crushed under the wheels of a speeding truck while the rider was seriously injured in a road accident near MESCO Junior College under Tappachabutra police limits on Sunday.
According to police, Suman, 36, a resident of Mangalhat was returning home along with her relative, Mukesh Singh. They were travelling on a scooter. When they reached near MESCO College, the speeding DCM rammed into the scooter from behind.
While the rider fell on the road and sustained injuries, Suman was crushed under the wheels of the truck. She died on the spot. Mukesh was rushed to Osmania General Hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in the afternoon.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the truck driver was driving the vehicle at breakneck speed,” sub-inspector Sk Buran said who visited the spot. The body of Suman was shifted to Osmania Hospital mortuary for postmortem. A case has been registered under Section 304-A IPC (causing death by negligence).
