Serial chain snatcher nabbed
The Task Force on Friday arrested a chain-snatcher involved in at least four cases under different police station limits in the city. About 125 grams of gold ornaments were recovered and also a receiver was arrested.According to the police, K Balraj (38), resident of Puranapul and Mohd Ismail (26), resident of Kalapather, were arrested.

Hyderabad: The Task Force on Friday arrested a chain-snatcher involved in at least four cases under different police station limits in the city. About 125 grams of gold ornaments were recovered and also a receiver was arrested.According to the police, K Balraj (38), resident of Puranapul and Mohd Ismail (26), resident of Kalapather, were arrested. Balraj who was a habitual offender was involved in the crimes under various police station limits including Tapachabutra, Chatrinaka, Saroornagar and Humayun nagar.
He used Honda Activa bike in these offences and targeted women walking in lanes and by lanes in isolated places. He single had handedly snatched away the gold ornaments from the women and escaped from the scenes driving at high speed. He sold the stolen property to the receiver Mohd Sohail. Earlier Balraj was arrested by police of Charminar, Pahadishareef, Moghalpura and Punjagutta in similar cases. In 2014, he was released from jail and later committed theft of Honda Activa bike, in Amberpet police station limits.
