Hyderabad: The city cyber-crime police on Monday apprehended four-member Delhi based gang for collecting huge amounts of money by promising jobs and cheating over 70 aspirants across the country.

Based on a complaint lodged by C Bala Yogishwar (22), an unemployed youth living in Hyderabad and native of Kurnool district, that some unknown persons who claimed themselves as recruiters from Shine.com, a job portal, collected money promising job in Bajaj Electronics and cheated him.

The victim in his complaint stated that in July 2014, he received phone calls and e-mails from [email protected] and ashokacharya705@gmail. com claiming that they would provide jobs in Bajaj Electricals Ltd and insisted him to pay amount for registration and other processing charges and send copies of deposit slips to shineservice @asia.com.

Believing the mailers, Yogishwar deposited Rs 1.3 lakh in several bank accounts provided by the mailers. After waiting for two months, Yogishwar realised that he was cheated, said Detective Department Joint Commissioner T Prabhakar Rao.

He said that the using the leads generated during investigation, a team of cyber crime police visited Delhi and apprehended the accused persons Mukesh Mishra (23), Sunil Kumar Gupta (32) and Bhagirath Tyagi (25) of Uttar Pradesh and Sandeep Singh (27) of Delhi.
