Hyderabad: A 19-year-old girl attempted suicide by jumping from a three-storey-building in Kukatpally on Thursday. She was upset over her father’s second marriage.
The girl identified as Sirisha, native of Guntur was residing in a private hostel at Balaji Nagar in Kukatpally. The girl came to the city to learn English.
According to sources, Sirisha’s father recently married another woman after the death of his first wife. Distressed over her father’s second marriage, Sirisha attempted suicide.
She suffered grievous injuries in the incident and was shifted to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
