Hyderabad: Keeping in view the safety of public, the city traffic police have conducted enforcement drives and booked 3,413 cases against the motorists who have been using multi-toned horns, high beams and parking illegally in the lanes, obstructing the free flow of traffic.

During the special drives in September 2015, the traffic police have booked cases against as many as 43 motorists for using high-beam at prohibited places,

67 cases for using multi-toned horns and creating noise pollution and 114 cases for parking vehicles on by-lanes and streets obstructing the traffic flow, said Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Jitender.

He said that since January 2015, as many as 898 cases were booked against motorists for using high-beam lights, 1982 cases against motorists using multi-toned horns and 533 cases of parking violations.

“Our main aim of conducting enforcing drives and counselling is to impart Traffic Education to the violators for the safety of pedestrians and also the motorists.

We want them all to reach their destinations safely by following traffic rules,” the additional commissioner said.
