Five arrested in murder case

Hyderabad: The Bhavani Nagar police on Saturday arrested five persons in connection with murder and attempt to murder which happened at a function hall on October 5. A family dispute led to murder of one person and injury to another, the police said.

The accused were identified as Md Riyazuddin (25), Md Jameeluddin (26), Md Nazeeruddin (22), Md Sirajuddin (45) and Md Tajuddin (40). All of them are brothers and residents of Aman Nagar of Talabkatta and were small-time traders.

On the intervening night of October 4 and 5, the accused turned up at the marriage ceremony. There was a mild argument between the hosts and the guests and the prime accused, Riyaz, attacked Mukaram with a knife, causing an injury on his forehead.

His elder brother, Md Ahmed, who came to the rescue Mukaram, was also attacked with dagger. He succumbed to injuries. The police said the accused had developed grudge against the victim as he did not allow his wife to visit her parents due to family dispute.
