Kakinada: Maoist Yeruvu Siva Reddy alias Kiran involved in 73 cases in AP, Telangana, and Chattishgadh was arrested by East Godavari police on Monday. He carries Rs 20 lakh reward in the above e three states.
Disclosing the details late on Monday evening, SP M Ravi Prakash said that Siva Reddy left school education in 1992 and joined Yeturu Nagaram dalam.
A year later he was shifted to Manuguru dalam. Since then and up to 2008 he served with Manuguru and later with Yellandu Dalams. In 2009 he was appointed Khammam unit secretary.
SP said that Siva Reddy was elevated as state committee secretary, in the year 2011. Out of the 73 ceases, 27 cases were booked against him for killing informers.
He is also involved in the murder of Grey Hounds inspector D Shankaraiah and home guard N Naresh stealing AK 47.
He was also involved in rage 2010, 2011 and 2012Karlapalli, Devalarayi and encounters and Chennapur exchange fire and Kotlutru ambush and Guerilla warfare incident in the year 2012, SP disclosed.
