Hyderabad: A 33-year-old techie was charged with Nirbhaya Act after a woman physiotherapist complained of repeated rape on her.

The Rajendranagar police on Wednesday booked the case after receiving a complaint from a woman physiotherapist (30) of Uttar Pradesh, a resident of JRC Symphony apartments in Bandlaguda.

The victim working at Sun City Hospital complained that Manoj, a native of Rajasthan, who resides at the second floor of the same apartment,

mixed some sedatives in water when she went to his house to give physiotherapy treatment to him in the month of May this year.

She also stated in the complaint that Manoj had sex with her forcefully in August by threatening to reveal about the previous incident to their neighbours.

Recently, Manoj started to exploit her again and threatened to kill the daughter of the physiotherapist if she denies having sex with him.

The woman also alleged that she was affected with gonorrhoea, a Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) after she was raped by the accused who is currently absconding.

Unable to bear the harassment of the techie, she approached the Rajendranagar police to take immediate action against him. The police booked a case under Nirbhaya Act against Manoj and started searching for him.
