According to Dr G Venkateswarlu, Superintendent, Gandhi Hospital, 28-year-old Lavanya, who was suffering from pneumonia and was put on ventilator in the Swine Flu ward, died on Thursday morning around 10.30 am while on treatment. Lavanya died of respiratory failure, he said.
According to official data from the Health department, across the Telangana from August 1 to October 15, as many as 1,779 samples had been tested, out of which 318 were found to be positive and seven deaths were reported with other complications and swine flu.
