According to information reaching here, the ultras opened indiscriminate fire on a joint team of the CRPF’s COBRA, the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Special Task Force who were conducting a combing operation in Palamadgu and Arlampalli area in Sukma district.
One Maoist was killed in the gun battle. Elsewhere in the afternoon, two more Maoists were killed by the Quick Response Team in an alleged encounter near Kanthipara village.
