Ravi, the driver of the Sulibele mini-bus who was arrested by the Sulibele police on Friday for allegedly raping the 19-year-old girl in a moving bus has reportedly requested the police to marry him to the victim.
Citing that he was madly in love with her for the last one year, the accused had stated to the police during interrogation that he had proposed to marry the girl but she had turned it down and he raped her in the bus. Police sources said that Ravi kept on requesting the officials several times to marry him to the victim.
The victim, however, told the police she had seen his face only two days before the incident when she got into the same mini-bus. While the accused, Ravi and Manjunath have been arrested and taken to Parappana Agrahara Central jail, the victim is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
