In Zahira Nagar of Banjara Hills, as much as Rs 92 lakh cash was seized in a car belonged to a businessman. The car (AP 09 CC 6212) heading to Road Number 11 was stopped at Zahira Nagar late on Tuesday night. On checking, the police found two bags filled with cash.

On enquiry, it was revealed that the money was pertaining to business transactions of one Sushil Kumar Agarwal, a resident of Banjara Hills.As Sushil failed to produce the documents, the money was seized and handed over to the Income Tax officials, said Banjara Hills police.

On Wednesday, the police seized Rs 15.8 lakh cash at Malkajgiri which was being transported in a car (TS 09 UA 2640) driven by a Narsaiah, retired railway employee from Chikkadpally. When Narsaiah was asked to produce the documents for the money he was carrying in the car, he failed to do so. Later, it was identified that he sold a plot on Wednesday.

However, the seized cash was handed over to the Income Tax department officials, said Malkajgiri inspector Sekhar Goud. Meanwhile, in Hayathnagar, the police seized Rs 19 lakh which was being transported in a private car. The cash has been seized and handed over to the IT department.
