Kochi: A day after alleging that she paid bribes to Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, a key accused in the "solar scam" insisted on Thursday that will disprove his claims of innocence.

Even as Chandy said that he had done no wrong and would face any probe, Saritha Nair said the truth was otherwise.

Speaking to reporters here after her deposition before the Solar Judicial Commission, she hurled bribery allegations against Chandy on Wednesday, causing huge embarrassment to the Congress leader and his government.

"I will speak only the truth. After the unbearable tension of carrying all this on my head for the past more than three years, now I feel very relaxed as I am speaking the truth," Saritha Nair said on Thursday.

"I will prove through evidence that Chandy is wrong and I am right," she said.

Nair and her live-in partner Biju Radhakrishnan were arrested in the scandal in 2013 on charges of cheating numerous investors, who paid money for solar panels.

Over 30 cases of cheating against the two have been registered in various courts in the state. Police have estimated they cheated investors to the tune of Rs.6 crore.

While Saritha Nair is out on bail, Radhakrishnan is serving imprisonment after being accused of murdering his first wife.

On Wednesday, Saritha Nair alleged that she paid Rs.1.90 crore in two instalments which, she claimed, was part of the Rs.7 crore bribe demanded by Chandy through his then aide Jikumon.

She also said that Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed was also given Rs.40 lakh as bribe.

Chandy and Mohammed have denied the allegations.

Saritha Nair said: "I will reveal all that transpired in the entire case but will not touch upon private and personal issues concerning me.

"I have been to the official residence of the chief minister. He (Chandy) introduced me to P.C. Vishnunath (Congress legislator) and suggested erecting solar street lights at his place.

"He (Chandy), (Congress legislator) Benny Behanan and (Congress leader) Thampanoor Ravi have all spoken to my mother and assured her that all my cases will be resolved. But nothing has happened," she added.

Her revelations came as the Thrissur Vigilance Court on Thursday directed that a FIR be registered against Chandy and Mohammed.

This following a petition filed by an activist based on Saritha Nair's revelations on Wednesday.

The Kerala government will file a petition in the high court on Friday against the directive of the Thrissur court.
