25 day old infant killed by Chain snatchers
A 25-day-old infant succumbed to injuries after being attacked by chain snatchers at Ramakrishnapuram, Neredmet near Secunderabad. The chain snatchers who escaped with a gold chain from the child\'s mother came on a bike and waylaid her. In the attempt to snatch the chain, they knifed the child and the woman to suffered injuries.

Both the child and woman were rushed to Gandhi hospital but the baby succumbed to the injuries. Police have registered a case and are investigating. However, suspicions have raised on the mother's version and are looking into CCTVs in the area. The police are also looking into family rivalries behind the killing and not just a chain snatching incident that required them to kill an infant. Further details are awaited.
