Yasbeer Singh (40), working as hawaldar in training Battalion at Bollaram was heading to Risala Bazar from Bollaram check-post on Saturday evening. Meanwhile, a speeding RTC bus (AP 11 Z 91) belonging to Medchal depot, heading towards Secunderabad hit Yasbeer’s bike (MP 04 NT 3403).

Hyderabad: A 40-year-old army jawan was mowed down by a speeding RTC bus at Bollaram area on Saturday. Yasbeer Singh (40), working as hawaldar in training Battalion at Bollaram was heading to Risala Bazar from Bollaram check-post on Saturday evening. Meanwhile, a speeding RTC bus (AP 11 Z 91) belonging to Medchal depot, heading towards Secunderabad hit Yasbeer’s bike (MP 04 NT 3403).

Yasbeer succumbed to severe head injury on the spot, said Bollaram police adding, he was transferred to Jammu and Kashmir on April 2, and was about to join his duties there by next week. A case has been booked against the absconding bus driver and conductor, who had abandoned the bus after the accident. The body of Yasbeer was sent to autopsy at Gandhi Hospital.
