Home Guard commits suicide
A Home Guard working in Hyderabad Police Commissionerate committed suicide in front of Mahankali temple in Secunderabad by consuming poison. The police recovered the entire suicide episode captured in the temple cameras.
Hyderabad: A Home Guard working in Hyderabad Police Commissionerate committed suicide in front of Mahankali temple in Secunderabad by consuming poison. The police recovered the entire suicide episode captured in the temple cameras.
According to Mahankali police, Balaraju, who was working as a Home Guard had earlier served as president of State Home Guards Association.
On Thursday evening, at about 5 pm, Balaraju went to Mahankali temple in Secunderabad area. After sometime, a woman came there to meet him and left.
“The footage recovered from the cameras showed Balaraju waiting in front of the temple, his wife meeting him and slapping him. After she left, within minutes, he consumed the poison and walked to a corner and died there,” the police said.
Balaraju had some family issues and his wife had recently complained to the senior police officers about his behaviour. “His extra-marital affair is suspected to be the reason for dispute with his wife.
However probe is on,” the police said. Balaraju, a native of Nalgonda served as State Home Guards president earlier.
