Hyderabad: As many as eight persons were arrested by the Amberpet police on charges of killing a juice shop owner. The police also arrested the wife and mother-in-law of the deceased for provocation of the prime accused to kill Ismail.

Deceased Mohammed Ismail (37) along with his Sameena and daughter was living in Bapu Nagar in Amberpet. For some months, Ismail and Sameena had been quarrelling over petty issues and Ismail thought that his wife’s step-father Syed Shafiullah alias Shafi was the reason for the disputes.

During GHMC elections, Ismail went to Shafi’s house and insulted him before his associates. He also told Shafi’s relatives that he had married another woman illegally, who is his mother-in-law. Humiliated Shafi, on provocation by his step-daughter Sameena and her mother Fareeda Begum, hatched a plan to kill Ismail.

To execute his plan, sought the help of his friends Shaik Hameed Pasha (39) of Attapur, Mohammed Arif (32), Syed Abed (27) and Syed Maqdoom (26) of Rajendranagar and Mohammed Zaid Ahmed (30) of Nallakunta. On May 13, Shafi called Ismail to the house of their common friend Nasir and killed him when he reached the house.

When Nasir tried to stop Shafi and his friends from killing Ismail, they took Ismail’s body to Tatiparthi village in Mahabubnagar and burnt the body to dispose of the evidence.

East Zone DCP Dr A Ravinder said the all the eight accused including deceased person’s wife and mother-in-law were arrested and seized a knife, three mobile phones and a car used during the offence and remanded them.
