A cook from Attapur was arrested by the Government Railway Police of Secunderabad for making hoax bomb calls to railway stations.   Revealing the details, GRP SP S J Janardhan said the accused identified as M Ashok, a cook from Attapur had made hoax calls in April and June to Dial 100. 

Hyderabad: A cook from Attapur was arrested by the Government Railway Police of Secunderabad for making hoax bomb calls to railway stations. Revealing the details, GRP SP S J Janardhan said the accused identified as M Ashok, a cook from Attapur had made hoax calls in April and June to Dial 100.

The first time, he had made a call from a public telephone and the second time; he called from his wife’s mobile phone. The accused had called the emergency number and said that bombs were planted at Secunderabad and Nampally railway stations in bags.

Both of them were hoax calls. The police traced the numbers and arrested the accused. Investigation revealed that Ashok was in an inebriated condition when he made the calls.

During investigation, the police found that he was in inebriated condition when he made hoax bomb calls. A case has been booked against the accused under sections 182 (False information with intent to cause public servant to use his lawful power to injure another person), 186 (Obstructing public servants in discharge of public functions) and 507 (Criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication).
