Customs officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Sunday caught a city man for attempting to smuggle gold. According to sources, a person who reportedly hails from Old City of Hyderabad, arrived at the RGIA from Dubai during the early hours of Sunday.
Hyderabad: Customs officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Sunday caught a city man for attempting to smuggle gold. According to sources, a person who reportedly hails from Old City of Hyderabad, arrived at the RGIA from Dubai during the early hours of Sunday.
The customs officials, who intercepted and checked his baggage, found a gold bracelet and a chain weighing 880 grams.The officials took him into custody and seized gold worth Rs 25 lakh. He was handed over to the RGIA police for further probe.
